How and When will my Item(s) be Delivered?
You can locate shipping details on the product page such as shipping lead-time, shipping charge (FREE, To be quoted, Flat Freight Delivery Charge, and Calculated Shipping which is displayed at Checkout), as well as the shipping method (Freight or Ground), and if the product requires any assembly.

Ground Delivery
Ground Delivery is available for smaller products. These will be shipped out via UPS, USPS, or FedEx. Your smaller item(s) will be unloaded from the truck and brought to the front door or left near the front of the home or business. Please allow transit time from once an item has been shipped to the time it will be delivered (1 to 7 business days).

Freight Delivery
Orders over 75 lbs. will generally be shipped via Freight.

Freight delivery is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail. Our standard freight delivery service is curbside. If threshold /inside delivery is needed please contact our showroom and note that additional charges may apply.

Freight handlers are not authorized to perform any assembly services nor can they put it in the space of your choice.

For residential deliveries, you will be contacted by the shipping carrier to schedule a delivery appointment. Most companies offer appointment windows (usually 2-4 hours) between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm EDT, Monday through Friday.

If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need several people to help move it to the final destination.

Shipping from Hawaii and Puerto Rico

When we receive an order from Hawaii or Puerto Rico an email will be sent to you with a separate shipping quote. Only after you have approved and paid for the shipping surcharge we will move forward with shipping your order.

If the shipping rate surcharge is not approved or paid for we will 100% refund your card and cancel your order.

Galtech Base Guide

Galtech has a variety of bases that will secure all of their umbrellas in style.

They have 3 base styles to choose from, European, Steel Plate and Wheels Bases.

European Bases:

  • Cast Iron.
  • 40 lbs or 75 lbs.
  • Anti-rust primer.
  • Long and short tubes provided.
  • Protective rubber feet.

Steel  Plate Bases:

  • 40, 60 or 85 lbs.
  • Anti-rust primer.
  • 40 lb is designed for 772 half wall umbrella.
  • Protective rubber feet.
  • 24” base tube available for commercial use.

Wheels Bases:

  • 95 lbs.
  • Anti-rust primer.
  • Two wheels for mobility.
  • Stainless foot plate to assist in moving base.
  • Protective rubber feet.
  • 24” base tube available for commercial use.

Frequently asked questions:

Q) What size base is recommended to free stand umbrella?
A) Galtech recommends a 75 lb. minimum base for all free standing application.

Q) What size base is recommended to mount with a table?
A) A 40 lb. base is sufficient for table mounted umbrellas.

Q) Why are there two tubes supplied with the Euro and Cast Aluminum bases?
A) They provide both long and short tubes depending on the clearance of the table support.

Q) Will the cast iron or steel plate bases rust?
A) They apply anti-rust primer under the finish coat but if the surface is scratched, rust may occur.

Q) What is the benefit of the rubber feet on the bottom of the base?
A) The protective rubber feet prevent the metal base from touching the surface of the patio.
